A selection of photographs I’ve taken.

Prospekt Lenina, the city's main drag goes on forever. Zaporizhzha is an odd remnant of a short-lived Soviet city planning experiment in linear cities. The city has no real center. It just goes on for miles, and miles, and miles. It goes on so long that, by the time we finally got back to the bus station, there were no more available buses leaving for Dnipro, and we NEEDED to get back to catch our 6:50 am train for Kharkiv the next morning. So, by imitating locals, we managed to bribe a conductor for the privilege of sitting in the stairwell the entire way. All's well that ends well, but I might venture to say our biggest advice for visiting Zaporizhzha is not to go at all.
